Penguins waddle in perfectly for a January theme, bringing charm and excitement to your classroom. Here are some of my favorite penguin-themed songs that little ones will love!
1. Five Little Penguins Riding on a Sled
Go on a snowy adventure with five playful penguins as they glide down the hill on their sleds! This engaging counting song is a wonderful way to incorporate math skills into your music time. Fun visuals can help bring the song to life as children practice counting with their penguin friends.

2. Frozen Penguin
Help a chilly penguin get warm up by dressing in warm winter clothes! This interactive song encourages children to practice body awareness while pretending to help the penguin put on its hat, scarf, mittens, and boots. It’s a playful way to combine music and learning.
3. Walking With the Penguins
Time for a movement break? This imaginative song will have children waddling, hopping, and giggling as they pretend to be penguins. Laurie Berkner’s engaging tunes make it easy to get the wiggles out while staying on theme.
4. Penny Penguin
I love the gentleness that this penguin movement song brings with some magical harmonies too. This song brings a soothing touch to your penguin playlist.
Penguin Shape Song
Children help build a penguin using simple shapes — circles, ovals, hearts, a diamond — while singing along. This song blends early math, visual learning, and music in a playful, hands-on way.
